Anyone familiar with America Car Rental?

While hunting for a car rental in Ft Meyers, I came across a (British?) company named American Car Rental. Their rates are the lowest I have seen for pick up/drop off at the airport (RSW). Has anyone had experience with this company that you would share with me?

Thank you

Not sure if these are all for the same company.

Yes... they arrange cheaper service providers, but can't guarantee the comfortable one for long distance travel. Better search direct service provider.

Great advice. Thanks very much.

Jeff - I don't know the dates you're looking at but dollar & thrifty have midsize cars at RSW for $145 per week in March plus $40 taxes/fees.

Or, if you're arriving midweek before 5pm, a local office of Enterprise or Budget might have lowest rates. You'd have to take a $20 cab to the location but usually you can return the car to the airport office so the hassle is only one-way.
