We stayed at Green Valley Ranch resort last President's Day and loved it! (This was our fifth trip to Vegas so did not see a need to stay on the strip). Rooms are beautiful, as are the lobby, pool area, and other public places in the hotel. The casino is nice --not huge-- with friendly dealers. The buffet is like the other "Feast" buffets at the Station casinos -- good but nothing amazing. There are several restaurants -- a Border Grill (yummy), Bull Shrimp (did not eat there, an Italian place (good), and a sports bar (good). The spa is perhaps one downside - good treatments but I did not care for the common areas of the spa -- plus very snobby people at the front desk. We really, really liked this hotel/casino and absolutely will stay there again.

Ive been there. The spa facilities were very nice and new, and the view at night was great...but other than that I wasnt too impressed. The buildings with the guest rooms seemed like drab apartment buildings (one after another) and was annoyed to see (when we reached our room)trash in the trash can from the former guests. I did, however, find the new management eager to please and willing to compensate in other areas. Im sure, above all, you will have a relaxing time.

Pamela,

I have stayed at Green Valley Ranch Resort twice. Once in August 2002 and again in January 2003. Despite the fact that I won a nice little jackpot on a slot machine, I did not enjoy my stay in August. The rooms and hallways are clean without the usual maid carts and last evenings room service trays. The front door and desk personnel were very anxious to please (especially John). The casino is not crowded with numerous choices of slot and video poker machines but limited tables. The dealers and floor personnel are VERY friendly and the locals make great conversation. The restaurants range in price and atmosphere from Fat Burgers to Bull Shrimp. Problems however made the good things less attractive. We had issues at the pool including SLOW service, incorrect drinks, and pool staff that were more interested in playing around with each other, etc. The conceirge forgot to make dinner reservations for us on three occasions. Despite all, we gave it another try in January 2003. What a difference!!! All of the good points remain with great improvements made at conceirge desk and the departure of Whiskey Sky staff. I liked it so much we are going to return in February 2003. Provided you have rented a car to drive to the strip (10 minutes away) and want a quiet atmosphere, you should enjoy the resort.

Have only been there to dine at Bull Shrimp which was fine but nothing special. IMO the resort seemed a bit small and very far from town to stay at. Was definatley pretty though.
