Anyone been to Discovery Cove?

I just saw a television special on Discovery Cove in Orlando. It is very expensive, but I was thinking of surprising my husband with a visit there for his birthday while we are visiting Florida at the end of June. If anyone has been there, please let me know if it's worth the astronomical admission fee. Thanks!

I don't have first-hand knowledge of Discovery Cove, but here's where you can ask questions and read trip reports about Sea World and their new park, Discovery Cove:
http://www.usfinfo.com/
Click on "Discussion Boards on the left" and then click on "Sea World". We're planning an Orlando trip so I've been looking for information on Discovery Cove, too. Good luck!

Why do people constantly post a question to this board without doing a text search to see if the topic has been discussed into the ground. It's like asking the waiter if they have steak before looking at the menu. DO A SEARCH ON THIS FORUM!!!! YOU'RE QUESTION HAS BEEN ANSWERED NUMEROUS TIMES ALREADY!!!!

My family went last August and enjoyed it very much, I have posted a detailed report and also answers to prior questions. For more info check www.discoverycove.com and www.themeparks.com. YES it is worth every penny since it is ALL inclusive & includes Sea World admission, and DO call NOW for reservations. Even if you cannot get dolphin swim reservations (it is almost certainly too late, the British tourists all made their reservations a year ago!), make non-swim reservations (costs less) as they often have a few cancellations for the dolphin swim the week you visit and you can upgrade. Feel free to email (remove nospam) for more info.

Geez, I'm sorry that I didn't do a text search first! I am new to this site and didn't know the protocol--I guess it's off to the gallows for me just for asking a question. There is a lot of anger out there--you should put your energy into something meaningful, like serving a meal at a homeless shelter, not at taking the time to yell at someone on a travel chat room! By the way, thank you to the people you gave me a real answer!

Nat

Pay no attention to the poster who yelled at you. Have good time In Orlando! My wife and I are going at the same time as you.

ATTN BEBAABAY:::

It always amazes me that people as stupid as you can actually type, let alone know how to get on to the internet. This is a board for people to get information, if someone wants to ask a legitimate question let them. Did you ever stop to think that people might like to get a more recent opinion of a certain subject. What do you care anyway. Is your life so useless that you have nothing better to do? Sorry Nat but people like that just really tick me off. In response to your question, I have not been there but I live in Orlando and have heard wonderful things about the place if you are into that kind of thing. I know that the price just recently went up, but for the price you get: Small crowds, Lunch, and 7 day admission tickets to Sea World.

Fodors has an excellent article on this site about Discovery Cove. It's part of their series where they send their staff writers out to experience a specific destination and then post a report.
