Shark Diving in Emeryville in the Gulf of the Farallones. http://www.incredible-adventures.com...farallons.html |
My husband and his best friend went diving with sharks by accident off the coast of San Diego.
Both are Master Divers. |
I haven't yet done the cage dive out of Haleiwa, but a dive buddy of mine has.
Basically they chum the water to attract the sharks while you observe from a cage suspended in the water. I don't believe they allow scuba gear in the cage. Everyone used just masks and snorkels. My friend enjoyed the experience, but told me that if I ever decided to try the dive, that the use of a pony bottle would probably make it better. That way you can just stay under and not have to constantly come up for air. |
That's what I figured about the snorkel gear while cage diving. It would be a pain to have to keep coming up for air. I'm going to skip the Hawaii one and try it in San Fran most likely.

The cage floats at the surface so there is no need to keep coming up for air. Just keep your snorkel out of the water at all times((D))8-)
