Right now (almost 3 PM) in Naples the temperature is 83 and the humidity is 51%. That is indeed low humidity for us and it is amazingly pleasant outside. Actually for much of the past week our humidity was around 35% which seems unheard of. We've really had some great weather. Normally by the first of May I'm wilting from the heat and humidity and am ready to leave! Not this year.

Weather report from Tallahassee: Lots of hot air here, blowing in from all over the state. Maybe things will cool down a bit when the legislative session is over!!! LOL!

Actually the weather has been picture perfect-not too hot-but we really need some rain.

Well, it was an amazing thing. Session ended Friday and we got rain on Saturday! I guess all that hot air blowing back out of town made room for a little rain!

I'll be going to So. FL next week, staying in the Weston/Fr. Lauderdale area. It looks like t-storms when we arrive. What exactly does that mean?? Cloudy skies? hi/lo humidity?

The last time I was in FL was about 10 years ago in the middle of summer.

The 10 day link above says 30% chance of isolated thunderstorms a the end of next week and then 60% chance of scattered thunderstorms on the following Sunday and Monday.
Don't worry about it. It is virtually impossible that it will rain all day or even a large part of the day. This may be the beginning of our summer storms which means it usually rolls in for about an hour or so (and usually in the late afternoon) then clears out.

After living in south Florida for 20 years, I've discovered the pattern of summer weather.

Hot, humid, 95 degrees + during the morning.

Hot, humid, 95 degrees + during the early afternoon.

3pm -- hard, fast, heavy downpour, lasts one hour.

4pm - hot, MORE humid, 95 degrees + until evening.

9pm -- cools off to 90 degrees. Maybe 85 by 10pm if you're lucky.

This is why I've moved away.

This is also why the tourists leave in May and don't come back till September!

Don't get me wrong -- the weather is paradise in the winter. But it's the 4th ring of hell during the summer
