Anybody ever bought a plane ticket on ebay?

There are lots of "too good to be true" ticket deals on ebay. Anybody here ever bought any? Comments?

Don't do it! The airlines have all kinds of rules/regulations these days and I would NEVER trust an ebay ticket! Priceline, yes. Ebay, no!!!

For what it's worth, just bought a ticket for a short-notice flight via Hotwire--it was about $90 less than Travelaxe (which is supposed to scan everything.)

It was for next Friday, Harrisburg PA RT to Mobile (return in 2 weeks.) Not exactly two high-traffic hubs, but the ticket was still less than $300.

I agree with Dan. I love eBay, but no way would I buy airline tickets there....

I don't see how it would be possible. You can't change a name on the ticket.

Gretchen.....Correctomundo...airline tickets are "non transferrable"....BUT...not everybody knows that...I hear fellow travellers every week arguing with ticket agents that if they paid for the ticket, they can assign it to anybody they want to...not true.....

And what about SkyAuction.com? They also have some incredible deals.
