any tasty, cheap and quick places for next sunday breakfast...close to Empire State building?
don't want to walk more than a couple of blocks
|
There are plenty of 'Au Bonne Pain' restaurants all round the city. Delicious pastries, muffins, bagels and coffee. Also serve great sandwiches. There is also a large bagel place (might be called City Bagel....don't remember) on the corner of Fifth Ave. and 32nd or 31st St.

Your best bet is to walk a few blocks south of 34th St on Fifth Ave. Many quick & cheap places, but don't know what will be open on Sunday.

Right on 5th Ave you will find lots of places for a quick breakfast. There's McD, Wendy's, Burger King, Starbucks. In the Empire State there's are a couple of places as well.

They are all located between 34th and 30th St on 5th Ave. Everything will be open on a Sunday, as it is a big shopping day, especially the closer you get to the holidays.

Hope this helps.

tweedy

thanks for the help, I think the bagel places sound great, but definitely not the fast food choices== just hoping that the weather will be better than this weekend!!

I don't recall the name, but I recall a diner being located just north of ESB maybe a block or so, opposite side of 5th Ave. We had dinner there, nothing spectacular, but clean, tasty & reasonable. Seats where we could look out the window at the people.
