Any sugestions for 2wk vacation?

Hi:

I need advice from all you experienced travelers. I don't know where to go for a 2 week vacation. Incredible as it sounds, I want to go, I just dont know where (tavelers' block). It's kind of last minute since I would be departing sometime mid to late Sept '03. Where's a good place to go at that time of year? (Budget not big prob neither is continent.)

Thanks

International or domestic? Drive or fly? Beach or city? Both?

If you are totally at a loss, one of my favorite things to do is Florida. Start with St. Augustine, then Orlando and one of the theme parks for a couple of days, South Beach, Keys, Everglades, Naples and bingo! Your two weeks are up.

With that much time, do the California coast. Fly into LA, then drive the coast up to SanFrancisco, spending a few days here and there along the way. There's been lots of discussion on this forum if you do a search under "California." Sept. should be a nice time to do this.

Florida and the Caribbean are in hurricane season.

I'd go to southern Europe where the weather is great and the crowds are small in late September. Italy and the Greek Islands are my personal favorite. Though Croatia is on my list (it may be the most beautiful place I've ever seen...from my co-worker's photos).

You may want to look into going to Europe. I heard on the news that there are some great fares starting after Labor Day, such at $250 roundtrip to London from the east coast.

Thank you for the Inspirations,

I could wait after labor day, and hope for great deals!
