Any special tips for Zion, Bryce, Capital Reef?
Heading out tomorrow - early am - driving via Las Vegas and St. George to Zion and Bryce Canyons (staying overnight by Bryce) and then through Capital Reef on down to Monument Valley (staying overnight) and then to Sedona for 3 or 4 nights.
Any special/recent tips on the Utah Canyons/drive?
Thanks in advance.

Driving north from Bryce Canyon, Highway 12 is exceptionally scenic.
Have you been to Arches NP? It is very special and not far from Capitol Reef.
Have you been to Canyon de Chelly? It would be a most memorable place to spend one of the nights you have planned for Sedona. (If you go, book a room and a morning jeep tour at the Holiday Inn.)

We're in Kayenta right now. I really hope the wind dies down before you hit Monument Valley! We drove north on 191 through Chinle today and had to skip Canyon de Chelly because there was so much dust in the air that it was hazardous to drive. We planned to go to Monument Valley today, but at the moment we wouldn't be able to see anything. Hopefully it will be better soon.
Be sure to see sunset and sunrise at Bryce Canyon if possible.

Kayenta? I thought you were headed toward Capitol Reef.
In any event, I got caught in that wind once while staying at Gouldings. The grit in my eyes was torture.
The last time we were in Monument Valley we drove in our own car around the place at sunset (with the windows rolled up) and it was a memorable experience.
We stayed at The View--o.k. but overpriced room and cheap but mediocre restaurant.

Thanks and off in 5 minutes. Am going through Capital Reef - from Bryce on the way to Monument Valley - which we have seen before but hope the wind does die down. Think the front is moving through?
And will be at Bryce for sunset/sunrise.
Uno mas - Gracias.
