Any opinions on the Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, W. Va?
 

Got my travel books here and the property seems okay and close to Busch Gardens...also possibility for some golf on site. Have you been...any advice?? Family of 4...2 teens.

My husband and I stayed at Kingsmill and loved it. Close to Busch Gardens is an understatement; it is right next door. You wouldn't know it, however, once you are at the resort. It is very peaceful and beautiful. We had a one bedroom suite which was great. It had a full kitchen and dining room and very large living room. There are are also several different dining choices at Kingsmill ranging from casual to more upscale, as well as a small convenience store. We took advantage of the spa which I highly recommend.

One other thing, Kingsmill and Williamsburg are in Virginia, not West Virginia.

Anheuser-Busch owns both properties. It is lovely, golf course has good rep. You will be able to get combo ticket to Busch Gardens & Water Country just down the road, also there is a "Revolutionary Fun" pass available that includes the 2 parks PLUS Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, & Yorktown Victory Center. The Trellis in Williamsburg is very upscale & well-known restaurant, and the Dining Room at Ford's Colony is another very upscale & excellent restaurant. There are MANY midprice or CHEAP places to eat, too. I like Second Street Market for a more casual atmosphere, & Pierce's Pit-Cooked Barbecue in Lightfoot for GENUINE BBQ in a very NON-fancy atmosphere. HAVE FUN!
