Any Opinion on Vanguard Air?

Thinking of booking tix on Vanguard but have never flown them before. In fact, have never flown any budget airlines except for Southwest. Was wondering if people could who have flown vanguard would reccomend them, fly them again, etc. Also, how does the flying experience compare to the bigger airlines (which is usually disatisfying but predictable). Thanks!

Pretty generic flying experience for me (two round trips). Smaller company, less hassle, but timeliness a bit lacking. Always a few minutes behind it seems.

I do not know where you are flying to or from, but everytime I have gone to NYC, Midwest Express has had the same price or better than Vanguard. Much better to fly pseudo first class than cattle car. Check them out.

I had a friend that used to fly Vanguard every so often for business mostly because of the low price for short notice travel. He complained about their constant tardiness and preferred another carrier whenever possible. I think they are just very bare-bones.

Thanks for the replies and also for the tip about midwest express. I'll be flying from KC to NYC and both vanguard and midwest have the benefit of being non-stop flights. Thanks again.
