Any Opinion on the Mt. Vernon Inn
 

I am hostessing a group of 30 friends in May 08 to tour the estate and gardens. I can reserve a three course luncheon for the group at the Mt. Vernon Inn. I would like to know if anyone has eaten there and how is the food?

Just to confirm, this is the Mt. Vernon Inn in Virginia?

I have only been to a wedding there (and will be going to another wedding there in a few weeks), but the food was good.

If you'll be touring at lunch time I would highly recommend the MV Inn. The food is good and the ambience is quite nice. There is also very little nearby for a group of 30.

If you have a choice of items I can offer suggestions. I have eaten there often.

We just ate lunch at the Mt. Vernon Inn two days ago, and we were very pleased. The atmosphere was great, and the food was delicious. The prices are reasonable, and it beats the food court anytime. You can eat that kind of food at home anytime. Enjoy! :)

We ate lunch there one time and LOVED IT! You got to have the Fried Green Tomatoes!!
