Any ideas for a 4 guy, 4 day trip??
 

I'm getting together with some old friends in mid-September and we were trying to figure out where to go. We're early 40's and looking to both get to the outdoors as well as play around in a city a little....

My first thought was Vegas and Zion... but, I just went there last year with my family and want to try something new.

Anybody have any ideas about any other good places to go that offer a little bit of country and a little rock 'n roll?

Obviously it's the greatest <i>city</i> in the world, and you can take a short train ride up the scenic Hudson River to some great hiking destinations, like Cold Spring for example.

Or, if the beach is more your speed, you have many choices, like Long Beach, less than an hour from Manhattan by train.

How about Miami/Key West, San Francisco, or Austin?

Seattle area or Vancouver...
