Any Hints Regarding the Air & Sea Show - Ft. Lauderdale, FL

We are planning to go to the Air and Sea Show in early May and will be driving from Sarasota.
Can anyone recommend the best day? Where to park? or should we take the shuttle? Is the visability good or is it too crowded?

Any other hints would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

I also have a question about the show so this will top for you.

We're staying in LBTS and have a beach front room. Since the city is so close to Ft. Lauderdale we were wondering if it would be possible to see some of the planes, etc. from our balcony.

Thanks for any information you can give us.

Yes to cclor...walk a little further down towards Sunrise on A1A...it is blocked right now and my DH and I loved walking without the crowds. We can see the plane from our 3rd floor terrace. Best day Middie is Sat IMO, they have firworks and a concert...it was Kevin Baker last year...I am not sure who it is this year. You can try to park in the Galleria on Sunrise, but I am not sure what their policy is ....can always do Holiday Park and take a shuttle...it is not far from the beach 1/2mile max. Let me know if you need more info. Check out the Sun Sentinel's web site.

Just wanted to let you know the Thunderbirds are practicing and how I wish y'all could see and hear this wonderful event!!! They have a flight pattern right over our house and are buzzing us...God bless our young men and women in the Military. Come see the SHOW.
