Any good packages from SFO to Denver

We would like to spend a weekend (Friday through Monday) in Denver is about two weeks. I have done some pretty thorough searching for packages (air, hotel & car), as well as separate air, hotel & car, and the least expensive I have found for two of us is about $936.00.

If anyone has run across a better package I would appreciate hearing about it.

I've searched Hotwire, Expedia, Travelocity, Quixo, individual airlines, etc.

ttt Anyone?

Since you're under 2 weeks, you can't get good airfare right now. And the last minute deals usually don't appear until a week prior. So, if this trip isn't that important, you may want to wait until this weekend to check the "last minute" deals on various travel websites on the internet.

Car and hotel usually aren't the problem.

Thanks for your suggestion. It is an important occasions--our 50th Anniversary. We were convnced the family would fete us with a party, but they didn't, so since we were married in Denver we thought this might be a nice way for the two of us to celebrate. It's now too late to arrange any sort of party ourselves, so this is the alternative we came up with.

Does the less than $1,000.00 seem like a decent price? It includes rt air, two nights at the Brown Palace and the car.

Congratulations on your anniversary. I tried to look up rates for the Brown Palace for the weekend of April 15-17, but they are sold out. So, if you want that hotel, you may have no other options, or maybe that option is gone already.

But $900 for two people for roundtrip airfare, 3 nights in a nice hotel, and a rental car is quite reasonable.

We thought so too. Thanks again for your input.
