Any fruit picking around Boston ?

I am going to travel from HK to US in late May with my family, mainly to attend the graduation of my brother. My Mom is very very eager to go fruit picking during the stay, but I do not know of any fram that provide this activity during 26th May to 6th Jun. Could anyone advice ? Thanks

That's pretty early for picking fruit in New England. I live about 35 miles west of Boston (where the temperature was barely above 40 F yesterday, by the way) and there's plenty of apple, strawberry, and blueberry picking opportunities out here later in the year, but I don't know of anything that would be ready then.

Dick's right; June is strawberry season in New England, and we're having a very chilly spring this year. Nothing else is earlier than strawberries.

But here's a link to a list of places where yo might pick your own; try them in mid-May, when they will have some idea of when picking will begin. New England weather is so crazy, there's still a chance that May weather will be unseasonably warm and put us ahead of schedule.

http://gonewengland.about.com/librar...htm?once=true&

Agree with above. If May is very warm, strawberries might be available early June, but they are not usually ready until mid June. There is a place northwest of Boston (about 30 miles) called Parlee Farms (in Chelmsford) that has wonderful strawberries.

Just found Parlee Farm website in Tyngsboro (I thought they were just in Chelmsford). It is www.parleefarm.com.
