Because we're planning our 4th trip to the US next year, I check this forum almost every day.
Always nice to get some inside advice from you locals ;-)

I was wondering, are there any Dutch people reading this or Americans with Dutch ancestors?

Weespx in Williamsburg, VA has relatives there and, I believe, lived there. She is in the Netherlands now, though. I don't know how to get in touch with her outside of this board. Sorry.

My great Grandparents (maternal) immigrated to the US from Belgium (dutch roots, not french). Both are deceased now.

I also lived in the Netherlands for a year and a half...

If you need any info on the northern Virginia area or Shenandoah Valley, I'll be glad to try to help.

DW and I will be staying in an Untours apartment in Leiden for two weeks in May/June.

We're visiting the South next year.

Starting and ending in Orlando.
We want to travel roughly;

Orlando,
St. Augustine
Savannah
Charleston
Asheville
Knoxville
Nashville
Memphis
Vicksburg
Natchez
Lafayette / Baton Rouge
New Orleans
and back to Orlando

And that in about 3,5 weeks.
