Any deals in Fort Lauderdale this Feb?

Continuing on the hunt for my daughter and her friend for an inexpensive sunny getaway in Feb over a long weekend. Anyone seen anything CHEAP in Ft Lauderdale? What about Priceline there? H

Are you talking about airfare, hotel or both? Lauderdale by the Sea has lots of less expensive hotel options.

Maybe, try the new Best Wsetern on north FLL beach. Things are getting pretty tight here, so I would think a "deal" will be hard to find.

My Feb. 2 night stay was booked through Priceline last October, and even then it was a good deal, but not a great deal. The bids accepted were all higher than previous years, as above posters have noted.

I'm still very glad that I did bid higher than I usually do, because I ended up getting the Renaissance for $105- now the rate is $255 minimum per night when I called to do a possible extend. Turns out that I can't get the extra day at work now, so it doesn't matter- but you can see that prices are upwards.

I have been looking unsuccesfully for a place in Lauderdale by the Sea for Feb.

Good luck finding a place, let alone a deal. I would love to hear if you find either.

I won a bid for $92/night for the Hyatt Pier 66 on Priceline for Feb. 27 & 28.
Not cheap but a big discount off their $255/night rate.
Try for successful bids in the area for 2 star properties.
Good Luck
