Any beaches in USA like Caribbean?
We are in search of white sand, crystal blue waters in USA. Is there such a place?

My pick would be the Gulf Coast area of Florida which includes Fort Walton and beautiful Destin. The sand here is incredibly white and powder like. The waters turquoise and shallow at some locations. There are beach bars and condo/house rentals. I wasn't impressed with the beaches in the Keys as they tend to be too rocky and the water colors just aren't there. Hawaii is very nice, but not the continental US.
Another vote for the Destin/Seaside area. Can't go wrong.

Hawaii, St Croix (US Virgin Islands), Puerto Rico and Guam (US territories or posessions.) Your message did not limit responses to the continental US...

Just west of the Destin beaches in Florida, across the state line into Alabama, is an area called Gulf Shores. The beaches there are lovely, white sand, very wide, and for long stretches much less developed than in Destin. In fact, there's a stretch called Orange Beach that is just east of Gulf Shores proper that is long and lovely.

Gulf Shores is very accessible via Mobile's airport. And for folks who like to do a bit of shopping on vacation, there's a huge outlet mall in Foley, AL, which is about a 20 minute drive from Orange Beach.

I seem to remember Clearwater FL as having nice white powdery beaches.

bahia honda in the keys.

In August, the north shore of Nantucket is very beautiful, blue/green and warm. For that one month, Nantucket is as nice as any beach on St. Barts or St. John.

G.
