Any B & B's in Milwaukee?

I've been looking on the internet for a B&B in downtown Milwaukee and either there aren't any or it's a best kept secret! I've found them all over Wisconsin but there don't seem to be any in Milwaukee. I'd like to find one for my visit there this Fall. I'd like to stay downtown or on the east side or north east side of town. It was my hometown for years...

I checked the yellow pages for you and I don't see much downtown. The closest is 30th and Wisconsin and another 28th and Kilbourn. Several more sprinkled around the Lake Geneva area (kind of pretty area)and up around Cedarberg (sp?) I personally don't know anything about any of them but if you're interested, I can send you address/phone numbers.

Thanks Barb,
I found those also and don't like their locations. I keep thinking that a city that size must have oodles of B&B's, perhaps not....

http://www.brumdermansion.com/
Check this out........it looks really neat. 30th and Wisconsin may not be the best location but this is certainly one of milwaukee's great old mansions. Apparently B&B's in Milwaukee are a well guarded secret. Since I'll be topping this again, maybe you'll get some more info. Good luck

Serena:

I was married at the Brumder and it is an absolutely beautiful place! Carol and Bob are wonderful people and would be more than happy to accommodate you. You're right about the lack of B&Bs in downtown Milwaukee. What's your purpose in visiting? Maybe I could make some alternative suggestions -- I used to work at the Convention Center.
