Antelope Canyon

Many tours to choose from Help!

Boat tour from page, does this actually allow you to walk in the narrows?

Upper Canyon versus lower canyon? Someone said the upper canyon would be boring to a 12 year old. Any comment.

Someone also said the lower portion you can climb on ladders and things of interest to kids?

Of course which is your choice of guides.

if photography is an interest, i took a tour with a local photographer named roger eris and he gives tours of upper antelope canyon. the canyon is quite spectacular! you can book the tours from the powell museum in page. try to go on a sunny day between 11-2 when the sunlight comes through the slots. it's truly a magnificent sight! i believe upper antelope is a shorter trip, but i'm not sure.
tina

For those who don't know about Antelope Canyon it is in Arizona, near Page.

I also took the tour with Roger Ekis. My 12 year old loved it and she assisted me in taking some stunning photographs. You ride out in a jeep for 20 minutes, visit the canyon for about 50 minutes and then return again. We took the 11:30 tour for maximum Light Streams into the canyon. I heard that the lower canyon is still closed due to the accident a few years ago when some people got trapped during a flash flood. In the part, we were in, you could easily walk out, but always check the skies before heading in.
