Another where to eat?
In NY three nights in June.
Thought the Village sounded like good atmosphere. Any seafood suggestions. Price maximum $200 for two.
Also like the sound of courtyard at Barbaretta for pre theatre but see varying reports on standards of food recently. Any one had recent experience?
The final night we have a dinner cruise (world yacht) booked as part of our travel package in the UK so that's taken care of.

Sorry for the repeats MFNYC! I'm not reading well.
|
Might want to take a look at chowhound.com . Great NY board where foodies hang out.
|
For restaurants in NYC (now that you much pay to see the reviews on the Zagat site) may I suggest you visit newyork.citysearch.com. Good site with helpful reviews.
|
That should have been "must" pay not "much"... sorry for the typo.
|
Thanks for your suggestions on seafood. Noticed that I mispelled Barbetta. Has anyone any recent reports? I read on this site it had gone down hill recently.
|
I have be going to Barbetta for years, and was there at Christmas for pre-theatre dinner. I thought the food was wonderful.

Another vote for Mary's Fish Camp

Another vote for Blue Water Grill!

Just ate at Blue Water Grill (downstairs at the Jazz Restaurant) - John Sigenthaler (NBC anchor) and Britney Spears were both there, if you like seeing celebs. The food is FABULOUS, bar none. The company that owns it, also owns 11 other restaurants in Manhattan, mostly Asian or seafood, and mostly on the west side, but we've eaten at 3 and found them all remarkable!Dinner last night, for two, with a bottle of wine and appetizers was about $100.

Aquagrill, in Soho. It's top-notch.
|
Thanks for your advice. Will probably go for Blue Water Grill since we love jazz. Is the music as good as the food/
