I called and the Academy only allows you to walk in now (stronger security) and they'd be a bit hesitant on what you might be bringing in (all that crab catching paraphenalia. ha-ha

Sorry

OK, coming down to Annapolis on Saturday the 21st, depending upon the weather.

How are the crabs running, to date? Worth the trouble or just to have fun? ((b))

No Chesapeake crabbers out there? ((b))

Hello again Budman!!

Sorry - I've been in Ocean City and Rehoboth beach and just getting back to read some messages.

Crabs are doing pretty well and are getting fat - we had some decent crabs out in Ocean City but I haven't had any here in Annapolis for about two weeks.

I think you and the grands will have a great time either catching, cooking, and eating or just eating them.

If you need another place to go to pick some crabs you might try Harris' crab House across the bay bridge at Kent Narrows. They're always good there.

Have a great time!!
Ellen

Ellen, thanks. My kids live in Farifax/Manassas, so if the weather is nice, they'll meet us in Annapolis.

We're going to catch 'em and bring 'em to Massassas for a crab feast. I'm just glad to hear they are running this year. The last 2 years were not very good.

I'll let you know how things turned out. ((b))

You know I almost read your message that you'd be taking the crabs to Massachusetts but then I realized it was Manassas.

There's a number of trucks that are now selling live crabs on the side of the road so they're getting plentiful again.

Just remember to cook steam them with beer and vinegar in the water and add lots of salt and Old Bay seasoning onto them as you put them in the pot.

I know I don't have to remind you what to wash the crabs down with, do I?
