Anyone have tickets for this Sept.15.'11 event? Where did you get them?

If you click thourgh the link, you will see that all the tickets (which were free) are sold out.

The concert is on the Great Lawn, you don't need tickets, just bring a blanket to sit on, a picnic dinner and come. There will be tens of thousands of other people there. The tickets are for seating at the front of the lawn, in front of the stage.
To find the great lawn, enter the park just south of the Met Museum, and follow the crowds, find your piece of lawn and relax. |
According to everything I've read, tickets are required for admission. It said nothing about special seating.
They were distributing them yesterday at various locations - one in each borough. I went by the Times Square site to have a look around 10:30 a.m. and there were no lines at all and plenty of tickets to be had. So I just walked up to the desk and picked up a few. |
Having been to many various outside concerts, We're not interested in lawn seating and watching it on a huge TV.
That said, how do you get good seating tickets? |
If you follow the link provided above, you will see that all the seating tickets are sold out, meaning they were been given out on August 4.

Bummer!!! I guess I'll have to wach it on a DVD in 6 months.
|
That is, unless we want to pay outragious prices from a ticket scalper. Maybe!!!
|
My friend got us tickets online in late August, from the free bunch that were distributed online. There is no seating, even though the tickets have row and seat numbers. Tickets are required for admission, regardless of its location on the Great Lawn in the park. It was a free ticket event, not necessarily a free viewing event. A DVD is to be released in December, along with the audio recording.

If anyone still wants a ticket, I have a friend that has one available. Contact me.
