Heard the Confort Inn is nice. That is where our gal booked us. I know it is real close to the train depot. And was told on here and another travel web site it is a very nice place.

The Comfort Inn is very nice. So is the Springhill Suites.

I always tell people to stay at the Hotel Captain Cook. Its smack in the middle of downtown minutes from the rail depot and 10-15 minutes from the airport. Its also NOT a cheesy chain with zero personality. The hotel is a longtime Anchorage landmark that is owned independantly. Check it out www.captaincook.com

The airport and downtown are totally different locations with not much going on at the airport. So downtown offers more. Will you have a car?? If not be selective on location so to be near your activites of interest.

I do stay a lot at Alaska Walkabout B&B, best breakfast and free bikes with direct access to the Coastal Trail. :)
