Hey BayouGal~ a mini goodbye for now.. in a few hours, my home will be transformed into an international bazaar, with lovely accents reverberating throughout.. I feel blessed that people can travel from one side of the world to another, and that we have the freedom to do that, health and credit cards willing.
Pat2003~ Please let me know when your trip to the peninsula will be. I'd love to share some hiking time, walks on the beach or whatnot.
My husband has been taking friends halibut fishing, and we should also have our quota of fresh red salmon from dipnetting. I would love to send you home with some if you would like.
If we meet, you might even be able to convince the doubters that I'm somewhat calm and sane and I don't ride by bicycle inebriated..
I had to give BudgetQueen a mention because I was embarrassed at how much she knows about travels in Alaska in comparison to me, a resident for most of my life.
You all take care, be healthy and safe. If my relaitves have any adventures worth reporting on(and with me, what could possibly happen?), you know I'll have to run with it.

My husband and two teens are coming up to Alaska next month with our mountain bikes in tow. You seem to be pretty athletic and mention biking frequently. Would you mind letting me know if there are good trails to ride on the Kenai Peninsula? Anne
