Nobody ever "tried to blow up a mall in Columbus" - there were indications that an individual may have been planning this but we don't know that he actually planned on carrying it through (there was no actual attempt).

When I read the initial article it concerned me until I saw quotes in it by Ann Coulter. It then lost all credibility in my mind - why would you include quotes by a slanderqueen if you are trying to put forth a factual account? Just my two cents.

To Lenleigh: Why, you just may be on to something there...(smile)

And to those of you listening to Emerson, just a thought: please don't believe everything you hear from him.

Just because you disagree with Ann Coulter doesn't make her wrong. I'd put her up against anyone in a debate where both parties are required to answer the questions asked(not with talking points).

Spygirl: My bringing up Emerson (and Sharkey for that matter of fact) is to make the point that different people are saying different things about the same situation. It was not to say that he was right. My first line "I am also trying to work out facts from fiction." Just for the record, I'm not a fan of Emerson. This is the same guy who went on tv right after the Madrid train bombings and said he thought it was ETA and not Al-Qaeda.

carib-Mea culpa! Sorry, spygirl.

snowrooster-You are indeed correct that they didn't actually attempt to blow up anything but they were in the planning stages. I have friends that work in the local media and I am privy to more than made the papers.
