An interesting perspective on the Palin pick

I googled this to try to get a link. Couldn't find anything. I apologize for that. But I thought the idea was one worth "discussing".

At dinner tonight my DH told me that he'd heard that on CNN today Pat Buchanan gave an interesting perspective on why Palin was chosen. He said it wasn't to woo women but to woo those male voters in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Ohio, etc. who wouldn't vote for Obama because he's African-American. He said, basically, she was chosen because she's a good looking NRA supporter.

I'm not usually a supporter of Pat Buchanan, but he may have some very good isight on this one.

You should be posting this in the Lounge, not here.

No excuse, Jaya, but when I click on my screen name it defaults to the US forum and thats where I started. Forgot I wasn't in the Lounge!

I have no idea why he picked her, so this makes as much sense as anything else. Think I'll head over to the lounge and see what the word is there.
