amtrak from attleboro, MA ?

hi,
does anyone know if you can still take the train from Pawtucket/Attleboro, MA into South Station? I looked on the website but they only list Prov. and Rte. 128 as starting points.
I thought that we used to be able to park in the Home Depot/ Bob's Store/ K-Mart parking lot and leave from there, but perhaps not any longer?
thanks for your help on this.... would like to treat our grandson to his first train ride.

There is an MBTA commuter rail line that runs through Attleboro, see map here: http://www.mbta.com/schedules_and_maps/rail/

See schedule of trains for Providence/Stoughton line here: http://www.mbta.com/schedules_and_ma...route=PROVSTOU

I double-checked Amtrak, and just as you found, there is not a route through Attleboro listed on their website.

portiaperu is right, there is no Amtrak stop in Attleboro. You'll want to use the MBTA commuter rail that runs between Boston and Providence for this.
