Amerisuites Miami - Blue Lagoon
Has anyone stayed at this property? We are considering it for a pre cruise night in Feb. Please give me your opinion.

I have stayed several times at the Airport West location and have been perfectly happy. Unfortunately I can't comment on the Blue Lagoon location, but I'm sure they are similar.
If nothing else, at least your post is now topped for more info. |
Some of my customers have stayed there and pleased with it. Nothing fancy, clean and confortable. It is in the middle of nowhere, nothing but offices around.

Perfectly fine for precruise. We stayed there about a year ago for the same thing. Small pool, but new property. No restaurant on site though and when we were there since it was new construction, there was nothing around it within walking distance for dinner. Maybe that's changed by now. Breakfast was good, the usual buffet, cereal, bagels, french toast, fruit, yogurt, etc. We had to cab it from the airport and then I think we paid $10 a piece for a shuttle to the port. Didn't have any complaints about the place, but next time I would just pick some place closer to the port. We have also stayed at the Wyndham Miami Airport which was better in my opinion as it had free airport shuttle and restaurant on site. Nice pool and we had gotten a good AAA rate.

If it's any help, KWP, the Airport West location has some restaurants nearby. It is in a pretty busy area.

We stayed at Amerisuites Blue Lagoon during our last couple of trips to Miami - September and again in October 2004. No regrets. The rates are excellent - 69.00 per night on the hotel's website. The rooms are fine. Spacious. Smallish bathroom but functional. We like the location. Close to the airport and reasonable distance to just about everywhere in the Miami area. The room comes with a "Bountiful" continental breakfast. For the purpose for which you are thinking of, I think this hotel would be just fine.
