American Orient Express

Any opinions/experiences regarding the American Orient Express to the National Parks?

Is this something new? What national parks are you talking about?

I gather you are talking about the trip to the national parks that is offered by the American Orient Express. We have received booklets and info from them, but we have never booked one of their trips. Their accomadations and extras sound wonderful, but they are expensive. If you enjoy train travel, and have the time, they offer some great trips.

I have never been on this train but I did receive a 2-hour video tape of the trip and it looks wonderful. If you're interested, I'll check the tape at home and let you know who markets it.

I also have a tape of the Orient Express trip from New Orleans to Washington, DC and that also looks like a great trip. I hope to take both once I retire.

The two tapes I referred to are both available on amazon.com. They are "National Parks of the West by Train" and "The American South by Rail", both covering their repective American Orient Express trips.
