American Airline Admiral's Club

Need a single-day pass for American Airlines' Admiral's Club since I don't travel Ameican that often and don't want to pay the $250 annual fee. I am an AA Advantge FF member, though. Any advice on getting a one-day pass at Miami Airport since I'll be travelling with my 2 elderly parents? Thank you in advance for advice......

I travel for business often and this past year I received 2 complimentary one day passes on both Continental and US Air. I knew I would not have the occassion to use either so I sold them both (seperately) on ebay for around $20-25. I'd check ebay to see if maybe someone has one on ebay for American Airlines. Steve

YOu can buy a one day pass at the Admiral's Club. They run about $50. However, they are restricted and you cannot take in any guests. THus, you would need to buy three passes.

$150 for a one day pass for three people seems reasonable considering you don't want to join this private club. I pay $250 a year and use it maybe twice, so you are money ahead. If you travel first class on domestic service or business or first class on international, they will give you a free pass for that flight, however.

I too bought one on ebay once and it was good for myself and 1 guest. It was through United (red carpet club) though. To tell you the truth, when I showed up with the pass the people were very nice and I'm sure I would have not had any problem with more than 1 guest....after all, the ones that they send out to the very frequent flyers (probably the type I bought on ebay) are just to familiarize the business clients with the clubs and they do want to ultimately sell you a membership so they want to make a good first impression. I really don't think you need a pass for 3 even if it just says for yourself and a guest...at least this was my experience at O'Hare airport. They barely even glanced at it. Ken Bursky
