Amelia Island Weather Early Oct.
 

We are attending a wedding on Amelia Island the first week of Oct. and I have no idea what to expect weather-wise. Will it be really hot or starting to cool some. I have been there in the winter but never in Oct. Thanks for your help.

The weather wont be really hot like the summer time but it'll be hot enough for you to go swimming at the beach. low 80s around that time but it could be warmer. It wont be cold if thats what your thinking, so go ahead and bring the swim trunks ;) also, keep an eye out for the weather forecast, hurricane season will be in its prime come september/october.

I live on Amelia and got married in October two years ago...lovely time of year! The first week in October will most likely be hot still, even if its not "hot" it will be in the mid to upper 70's. Hot is a relative term I guess.
This summer has been pretty cool, IMO with many days in the upper 80's and low 90's. The ocean didn't really warm up this summer (very odd). Unless there is a big shift I wouldn't plan on swimming, but the beach should be nice.

Funny about that cold ocean water. Ours (lower SC Coast) just warmed up this past week. It is now in the mid 80s.
