" I guess the leak was for real (it could just be coincindence, but . . .)"
Quite a coincidence since the leak also said a close finish near Niagra Falls. Keith |
JJ5, the Linzes did not ever call Linda Weaver names to her face. Ever. You are so sure the "thunderthighs" comment was directed at her. I do not agree, even thought the Weavers were intentionally blocking the Linzes way. It is my opinion, and ONLY my opinion, that the remark was directed towards themselves. I have read other opinions that it was directed towards Rebecca Weaver, but you are thoe ONLY person who thinks it was directed towards Linda Weaver.
I think you need to chill a little, JJ5. When you start linking Hitler to TAR, you definitley need to step back. |
No, I don't need to step back- because the hate thing here is rolling like a snowball. I don't like gossip or hate mongering and try to stop it, regardless what forum or form it comes in.

The Bransens won the Yukon. They had to run out into the woods to different clue boxes and retrieve 12 icons associated with the race, one icon at a time. Then they had to run back and place the icon on the map in the correct geographical order. First team to place all 12 icons correctly won. To watch it go to: http://www.cbs.com/gmc/
I,too, will be glad to get back to the two person format. |
I think JJ5 might actually be crazy Ms. Weaver.
To try to paint that family as victims is a major leap. While I feel for the loss of their father/husband, that does not give one carte blanche to be hateful. How especially hypocritical it is to go on and on about being Christian, yet say things that are terrible (Pat Robertson anyone). Mom Weaver was a very bad influence on her children. Those poor kids had the unlucky draw of having a mom who wanted them to be ugly to other people. Can you imagine a good parent encouraging their children to say mean things to people? |
Believe me, I'm not crazy Mrs. Weaver- I just hate vitrilence on either side. And the vitrilence was and is being returned.
|
I, too, loved the puzzle ending. I wish they would do more of them, I find them more interesting than the endless versions of zip lines/bungee jumps. And a big request to ban the gross out food challenges and begging for money. So glad for the return of the twosomes.

I'll admit that i missed a few episodes this season but from what I saw, no one person worked harder or accomplished more for his team than Rolly Weaver.
Gotta give credit where credit is due! |
As far as the Linz' name-calling, no one was exempt. Remember them repeatedly calling the brother on the trapeze "fat-ass"? I don't recall the comment, but I do remember being surprised by a few comments Rolly Weaver made about others too. He did do a lot for their team.
|
How about when Rolly yelled out the window of the SUV at the bicyclist something like "you'll never be Lance Armstrong."
|
The leak came from the Mother of the Linz family who told a reporter that her son Nick was leaving his job to move to L.A. ....She never said they won but a lot of people read into comments like that with their own interpretation.... the close finish at Niagara also came from the same reporter...

The Cincinnati Enquirer has several articles on the Linz in today's paper. Here is a quote from Nick.
Nick: I’m moving back to Cincinnati this weekend. My dad’s company, Tripack, is moving it’s machine division to Milford. I’m going to find an apartment in Cincinnati. Nick had been working in Buffalo for his father's company. The Linz mother, who was the spokeperson for the family while the race was airing, stated that her children did not tell her anything about the race. |
The Buffalo News is where the Mother's quote came from re the L.A. move.... we'll see on which UPN show Nick turns up...
