i'm almost positive that at the last fast forward, phil said that it was the only one on this race.
in response to the weaver chick saying that she is tired of dealing with classless people who live an un-christian life, i wish phil had started to list examples of how classless they have all been. now that would have been good tv! |
I thought Phil really earned his pay in those few moments when he had to comfort the Weaver girl. I'm not sure I could have been encouraging and supportive, knowing what a little snot she's been, but I suppose he hasn't seen all the footage at that point so maybe he didn't have to control himself as much as I would have. The Philiminator Rocks.

He does indeed! Not to mention looking pretty hot!

Marilyn-
I met Phil several years ago, right after the first Amazing Race aired. We were on vacation in New Zealand, and were at the Rotorua Agrodome. We were sitting in the auditorium area, waiting for the show, and I noticed this guy walking around with a couple of guys with cameras. I whispered to my sister "Isn't that the guy from the Amazing Race?" - and she said no. After the show, you could go up and get a closer look at the sheep. They were interviewing people about the sheep (pretty lame questions, though) - and as they were winding up, I went up and asked him if he was the host from the Amazing Race. It was - and Phil was clearly delighted that someone recognized him from the show. Remember, at this time the show hadn't really taken off yet and there were rumors of cancellation - so I guess he was happy to meet a fan. Ok, even then I was a rabid fan of the show. :) They were filming for a segment on the Early Show - (they filmed my family and part of it even aired) - and then after the filming was done, we spent about 20 minutes just chatting with him. He was the nicest guy - completely friendly, unaffected and charming. |
Has anyone else seen this? Previous AR racers coments on this seasons race--wow, could I find more ways to use the word race in a sentence?!? It's fun to read what they have to say.

Aw, chepar, lucky you! I think I might have just the tiniest little crush on Phil. (Oh! Maybe it's the name? Don't tell Phil Flash!)
Seriously, if you're a dedicated fan, you will have watched Phil's Diaries on the TAR website. He does seem like such a great guy, completely down to earth and unaffected. In one he was driving the car himself during the race and the other staff with him were ribbing him about not getting lost. Charming guy. (And yes, Barbara, HOT!) |
Dear God,
Let the Weavers be eliminated next. |
I'll drink to that.

Me too!

Me three!!

Dear God,
Please let me make fun of another team for the fact that the father is a garbage man, yet proclaim my christian faith. |
I posted on the wrong date. My suggestion is that IF the Weavers win, it has to be conditional: they have to be tied to chairs and forced to what their behavior for all episodes and then required to write an essay entitled: How the Gaghans Demonstrated Christian Behavior Without Hypocrisy."
For an update on the Schroeders' point of view about the other families as opposed to the Weavers, check out this URL: http://www.realityblurred.com/realit...oeders_weavers and this one: http://www.realityreel.com/index.php...530&page=2 For those of you who were not aware of it, the Schroeders lost everything in Katrina, and the Rogers family took care of them for two weeks. In addition, every family but the Weavers donated food, money and clothing. |
