Aloha Stadium Flea Market--cash only?

Do the vendors at the flea market take credit or debit cards, or is it pretty much a cash-only basis?

Although some of the vendors do take credit/debit cards, most want cash.

When you pay cash, you can sometimes get a better deal. Bring small bills.

Some of the vendors accept credit or debit cards, but mostly they want the green bills. I'd agree with the other poster to take a lot of small bills. When I went out there last summer I took my carry-on bag - with the handle & wheels - and it worked great! I put all my treasures inside and pulled it along behind me - no hot, sweaty plastic bags to lug around and my hands were free when I wanted to look at things.

In case this is a serious question, buyers at flea markets should dress down and wear no jewelry and pay in small bills. Using a credit/debit card eliminates your upper limit strategy for the price negotiation.

Should we not adopt the facade of "starving students" or "on a fixed income" when we are bargain shopping, smart_girl?

The item I want to buy is never the first item for which I ask the price. Salespeople are actors; buyers should be, too.

This rule applies worldwide & outside of flea markets: if there is no price tag - the price is expected to be negotiable.

Having spent 4 hours at this flea market last saturday (my friends and I were doing some housecleaning1), I can tell you that the big, professional vendors (jewelry, t-shirts, etc) often take credit cards. The smaller ones and the yard sale people will mostly take cash only.
