Aloha Airlines tickets?

I am not able to connect to a live person at Aloha Airlines. I have 3 interisland tickets for May. What should I do? Will another airline honor them or should I just call Amex and dispute charge. Should I book another airline. Are Hawaiian and Island Air solid?

Their website has very helpful information -

From the FAQ page -

Q: If I have a confirmed reservation with Aloha for travel after March 31, what do I do?

A: Aloha is working with code-share partner United Airlines and other airlines who are prepared to assist you.

I called United; they told me I was able to purchase a regular priced ticket from them. They will only help if one booked the Aloha air flight through United. The Hawaiian air reservationist said they would only book a full price ticket for a flight for May. No one is honoring Aloha air tickets booked through Aloha air! Does anyone know another Aloha phone number I am not able to get through on their 800 number? Any and all suggestions to help resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Chances are... you are out of luck. They don't HAVE to honor the tix.

This info is on the home page of Island Air.

Aloha Airlines will cease operations after Monday, March 31, 2008. We have special information outlined below to reduce your travel disruptions and inconvenience.

Q. Will Island Air continue to fly?
A. Yes. Island Air has been an independent airline since 2004 and will continue to do business as usual. We will add flights to meet anticipated demands as needed.

Q. Can I use my Aloha Airlines ticket on Island Air?
A. We ask that you place a new reservation through www.IslandAir.com or by calling Island Air reservations at 800-652-6541. You can get information on requesting a refund for your Aloha Airlines ticket at http://www.alohaairlines.com/landing...oha_oe_faq.php.

Q. How is Island Air affected by Aloha Airlines' closing?
A. If you are departing on an Island Air flight out of Kahului (Maui), Kona, Hilo, or Lihue, please check in at Hawaiian Airlines' ticket counters. Because of anticipated crowds at Hawaiian Airlines, please check in at least 90 minutes prior to departure. If you are flying in to Kahului (Maui), Kona, Hilo, or Lihue, please pick up your bags at the Hawaiian Airlines baggage claim.

Please check www.IslandAir.com often to get more information and special deals for Aloha Airlines passengers.

The Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau is working closely with the Governor's office, Hawaii Tourism Authority, local and national airlines, hotels, and the tourism industry at large to provide consumers a central web resource for visitor/travel information related to the Aloha Airlines shut down at:

http://www.gohawaii.com/alohaairlines

Affected travelers are encouraged to visit the website, which will be updated continuously as new information becomes available.
