Alligators

We are an English family of 4 ( 2 adults and 2 children 9&15) visiting Florida in August.
Can anyone recomend the best place to see alligators? We are starting in Orlando and then travelling north , maybe to the Fort Augustine area. Also can anyone recommend agood place for Airboat rides?

The best place to have an airboat ride is the Everglades. As for alligators, they are known to eat dogs and small children so I would let them alone.

A good place to see alligators is the alligator farm in st. augustine. It's pretty neat and they even have allligator shows at about l:30daily. Enjoy your trip.

Another great place to see gators is Gatorland in Kissimmee Florida. This is just outside Orlando. It is close to all the other attractions too.

Cheers--My vote is for Gatorland located on HWY U.S. 17 in Kissimee which is about a 10 to 15 mile drive south of Orlando. There is also a place off of HWY 192 in Kissimee that does Airboat rides but I can't think of the name. There are literally tons of brochures located at the tourist info center at the airport, around town or at your hotel that will have all the information you need. Are you going to include a Trip to the Kennedy Space center? It's a great place for kid's and adults to visit and you'll be right in the area.
Happy Travels, CB
