I think I've beat you, Waldo. Free. My company paid for the flights to travel to an award meeting and 4 nights on the BI at the Four Seasons. I added a free week at the Hilton on points. It was a GREAT trip!

$320 round trip, one stop, Milwaukee/Oahu 3 years ago (was it really that long ago!).
I have good friends who live in Kahiea so I stay there for free. Not quite "free", I buy plenty groceries and take them out for dinner several times during my stay but it seems the least I can do. They always make me feel so welcome and after 25 years and thousands of miles apart, they remain some of my closest friends.

I heard about it from Clark Howard's website. So I called American and asked about it and they said that the price was indeed available. Call their 800 # (1-800-433-7300) and give them your trip dates....you must travel b/t Mon-Thurs....no weekends. Travel until next Labor Day.

Beachgirl,
I just tried to book the flight on aa.com and the fares easily popped up. Give that a try...if you book via the phone they charge a 5.00 service fee and you will not get the bonus 1K miles that you would normally get online. Good Luck!

Lowest to highest:
Zero dollars in a company-paid performance bonus, October 2003.
$112 round trip from SFO in 1971.
$215 from SFO, October 2001. As you can imagine, around October 2001, when flights resumed, fares to nearly everywhere were at their lowest ever.
