all inclusive with tennis focus?
 

I'd like to find an all inclusive type of resort that would appeal to a 17 year old boy and have a great tennis program. Due to calendaring differences in our school districts, we may end taking each child on a long weekend with one parent while the other stays home. So, a place that would keep a teenager busy yet safe while the parent can do their own thing would be ideal. We'd be going in late March and mid-April. Thanks!

I know you posted in the U.S. forum, but wanted to add that Club Med in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic is all-inclusive and has a wonderful tennis program. Also, check out Club Med Sandpiper in Florida. I believe it also has a tennis intensive designation. There is a fancier resort in Florida that focuses on its tennis program: The Colony Beach and Tennis Resort in Longboat Key, Florida. I don't believe, however, that it offers an all-inclusive option. Where will you be coming from?

The colony Beach has an excellent tennis program but I believe for a 17 year old you might be interested in the Bottieri (??) tennis school/camp that's also in the Bradenton/Sarasota area. People from all over the country take their kids to school there.

I think you should look into the Club Meds. Club Med Paradise Island is the one Club Med in this area, to my knowledge, that offers an in-depth, ATP sanctioned program.

Nick Bolletieri's tennis school might offer short, vacation type clinics, but it's not a resort like Club Med and is more of a tennis school parents send their kids to for years.

The Colony is nice, right on the beach, and the tennis is okay but I wouldn't say great.

Don't mean to be discouraging but I've looked for the same thing and it isn't easy to find.

However, I don't think the all-inclusive places tend to focus on tennis. They may HAVE tennis courts, but don't highlight them.

Also, Tennis magazine ranks tennis resorts yearly.
