all inclusive family resort-like place

We are looking for an all inclusive type place for next summer. We have 4 teens and 6 adults in ages ranging 12-75. Lots of activities needed for this diverse group. Any suggestions? We would like to stay in the mid west region if possible.

Do you have a budget? That would really define what may be available to you.

Well, not the midwest, but what about a cruise? It's all inclusive foodwise and people could do shore excursions of their choice or not, and then all meet up for dinner together. OR you could google and check into dude ranches, that would in all inclusive. OR you could rent a large beach house and do your own cooking. With 6 adults you could take turns preparing dinner for all the group and everyone could be on their own for breakfast and lunch.

This is really a broad question. The first thing I thought of is a dude ranch (not something that I like, but lots of folks do)in Montana, Wyoming, or Colorado.

What do you consider the Mid-West? That varies all over the country.

Maybe find a nice resort by a Lake somewhere - and just go load up at a neaby Costco/whatever, and grill hot dogs/burgers/chicken/steaks/etc - and the young ones will probably love it and it will be a lot cheaper.

And for the mom's sake - get the young ones to buy into helping to make breakfast, lunch, etc. Tell them it's a summer camp and all pitch in.

You could also go to a ski area - such as at the Summit in Colorado - where there are many fun things to do in the summer - such as mountain biking down the hills, enjoying the lakes, streams, hiking, etc. See the town of Frisco for some ideas, and Breckingridge and Keystone resorts as well. http://www.townoffrisco.com/adventure-park/summer/

We also love the Alpine styled Frico Lodge/B & B right on Main St - and that would take care of breakfast and there are many dining choices nearby, within walking distance. http://www.friscolodge.com/

Maybe some National Park(Yellowstone/Grand Tetons)or somewhere like Moab, UT. Custer State Park(badlands, black hills, rushmore)might be good. Estes Park Colorado is another option.

It has been several years since I stayed here. It is not all inclusive, but the first place I thought of when you mentioned the midwest.

If you are willing to extend your options to the Northeast, I would highly recommend the Tyler Place Family Resort in Vermont. They have a wide range of activities for children and adults.

My brother lives in Colorado and has suggested we visit YMCA of the Rockies--he knows people who have been.
