All Inclulsive

Hi -- We have a group of about 10 couples (age 50-ish) planning a couples-only trip for June 2006. We appreciate good food (& drinks), atmosphere, weather. We are not too particular about location, other than that it be North America -- Caribbean, Mexico, etc. Any suggestions for reliable, fun, clean all-inclusive resorts? Not necessarily the cheapest, but a pretty good value. Thanks very much.

As you will probably hear from many Fodorites, the term "good value" could mean different things to different people. A wealthy person might consider "good value" to mean thousands of dollars more than someone who has little money to spend. Please specify how much you want to spend. What is your idea of "good value" price? That will help people to be specific in their answers.

Okay, maybe I shouldn't have mentioned "good value" -- we'd probably not be likely to stay at the very most expensive all inclusive, but probably at a really nice place in the upper to middle price bracket. We've stayed at Iberostar, Riu, etc. in the past. Hope this helps. Thank you.

Since you're a group of adults, I would recommend one of the Secrets Resorts. There is Secrets Excellence in Punta Cana. In Mexico there is another Secrets Excellence and also Secrets Capri. All are great resorts.
