They could take your alcohol away.

FainaAgain Jul 27th, 2006 12:52 PM

They will force you to drink it to their health

seetheworld Jul 27th, 2006 12:53 PM

No, Fainia, they will make adiida watch as they drink it all up.

I went to Europe to study abroad when I was your age and many friends brought back bottles of wine for family and friends. No one ever said anything...none of us were 21.

On the other hand, Customs might also call in local law enforcement who could cite or arrest you for "minor in possession". Before everyone jumps in and says this will not happen, I have been called in to both train stations and airports for exactly this situation and have taken young people into custody.

In my agency, the district attorney had a policy that no one was to be cited and released for MIP; they were to be arrested and processed. It could spoil your entire afternoon to be taken out of the airport in handcuffs.

Well, there-ya-go.

Let us know how it all turns out...if you are able to.

If customs doesn't get you, the spelling & grammar police should.

I understand you believe that having visited Europe, your are now governed by the laws of the EU. If so, I hope you are returning home to continue your education.
