Alcatraz Tours
 

When I checked the Blue and Gold Fleet to see if tickets were available yet for the dates we wanted to book (they aren't yet -- only go through 9/9), I noticed that it says that if you are going after September 25 you book them through a different place (Alcatraz Cruises). I was just wondering if this will affect the tours between now and 9/25.

I thought I heard where they were being taken over by Hornblower Tours and some environmental groups were protesting them moving the landing down past Pier 39.
Anybody???

We booked our trip for Alcatraz for September 13th last week on Blue and Gold Fleet. We called 415-705-5555. Already got our tickets in the mail.Good luck.

Thanks -- I'll call tomorrow. They're closed now. We were going to try for an evening tour, but don't know which one to take. From what I can find, sunset in the middle of September is around 6:30. So if we wanted to go over there in daylight it would have to be the first tour. Does that sound right?

We took the 6.30 pm tour last Sept - about 10th - and were rewarded with a sunset vista of San Francisco from Alcatraz
