Albany (ALB) Airport to Lake George, NY
 

Hello,
Please suggest a cute-sy town to stop at en route from ALB Albany airport to Lake George, to do some fun 50+ yr old women shopping, & have a "nice" lunch. Would like more than tee shirt shops and a Subway. We are a group of h.s. pals reuniting for our 27th annual annual "girls" get-away.

Saratoga Springs fits the bill perfectly:)

Agreed - Saratoga Springs. It's about 1hr from ALB to Lake George, and Saratoga is half way.

Lots of great restaurants. Let me know what you're in the mood for and I can give you some recommendations.

Saratoga is the one! Great main drag with lots of good shops and places to eat. Don't miss it.

What would be your 2nd choice of a town?
I did not mention that our "gang" (of 55 year old Chicago women, all friends since high school or before) is arriving in 2 shifts, a day apart.
We already have plans to hit Saratoga Springs once the whole group is together.
The few of us in the early group want to do something en route to Lake G.
