Alaskan TourSaver-Talkeetna Air Taxi
 

I just learned a valuable lesson today. If you plan to use an Alaskan TourSaver coupon for the 7pm flight with glacier landing with Talkeetna Air Taxi, book well in advance! I called today to reserve space, with the coupon, on August 31st. Alas, 2 others have already booked for that slot. I was offered a 10% discount. That's nice, but we're talking about an additional $250 now! So, please learn from my experience!

I had the same experience, called in March for June. Same discount offered. However, I kept calling every day, and guess what, We were able to book. Either a cancellation, or whatever, persistence and patience paid off.

I rearranged my activities, and I'm now booked with Talkeetna Aero Services for the summit flight, using an Alaskan Toursaver coupon. Now I'm hoping for good flying weather!

In general Talkeetna Air Taxi is more reluctant to honor the toursaver and does not actually seem to reserve seats if they are able to fill by other means. Talkeetna Aero on the other hand has always been able to honor the toursaver for the same dates. This is from three experiences.

Note that the summit flight will go to 20000+ ft in a un-pressurized aircraft. They will provide you oxygen masks.

Have done both these flights, and in my opinion, you have chosen the best!!!!!!!
