between May and september, what is thebest time to take a cruise from fairbanks to denali?

If you want to avoid crowds, I would say either late May or early September.

Hate to say but that is a impossible thing to do "a cruise"??? That means water and from Fairbanks to Denali that would be not possible. You must have meant something else??? Clarify.....

There is NO cruise between Fairbanks and Denali. This is why I asked Melissa whether she is certain she want to take a cruise between these two destinations. Maybe she had cruising in her RV in mind?

Well, the best time to take a "cruise" between Fairbanks and Denali, in my opinion, since we have done it, is in late August, in a motorhome.

It also depends on what you are wanting to see while "cruising".

Well DH and I will be "crusing" Fairbanks to Denali, in our 2004 Grand Marquis Mercury, the first of June. My DD and husband and children was there last year for 10 days and they said it was absolutely weather wise gorgeous. They only had rain one night. And as far as crowds it was good, not that many people. When I checked with my travel agent from Alaska and asked when to go she said the end of May and June. July and August very crowded due to the cruise ships coming in. September ok, but she preferred May and June. So that is what we went by.
