Alaska travel book?

Does anyone know of any really good Alaska travel books? I had purchased "Maui Revealed" and all of the other "Revealed" books before going to Hawaii and they were absolutely wonderful.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any similar books that have been written about Alaska.

Thanks!

This isn't exactly a "travel book," but the Milepost is wonderful if you plan on doing any travel in Alaska. It gives all sorts of information re restaurants, camping grounds, sites to see, etc., for every mile on the roads.

I bought several books before our trip to Alaska, but I never found any books that were as good as the "Revealed" books for Hawaii. The Milepost (looks like a catalog or large magazine) was very helpful to us in Alaska. It comes out in a new version every year, so make sure you get the latest version.

There is also the Frommers Guide to Alaska. Not quite the same as the revealed for Hawaii but helpful.

I used a book called "Best Places Alaska" published by Sasquatch Press. Found it very helpful and little more local feel to it.

There is also the Frommers Guide to Alaska.

May I suggest we acknowledge our hosts' free provision of this board?
