Alaska Senior Tours
My parents are 85 years old and would like to travel to AK this summer on a land tour. Any suggestions? Something around 7 days including Fairbanks, Anchorage, and Denali. THey are pretty active and are able to get around. Thanks

Might recommend flying into Anchorage -- doing some site seeing our of Anchorage -- they can do a whale watching tour, etc. Then I would take the train to Denali -- take the long bus tour into the park, hopefully they will be able to take in the beauty of Denali and see a lot of wildlife. I would strongly recommend stopping in Talkeenta - this is the jumping off place for most people that climb Mt McKinley - also they could go on a flying trip to view Mt. McKinley - it is awesome. If they wanted to they could take a flying trip out of Fairbanks -- stopping at an eskimo village and stepping foot above the Artic Circle. A lot of this does not require a lot of walking. I wish them the best -- Alaska is so beautiful - you just cannot take it all in.

Go to "AffordableTours" - this is the agency that sells tours w/10% discount - their website is great for search
Search Elderhostel (they have a different name now, but Googling still works) maybe you can find a suitable program for them, they can stay later or arrive earlier too |
You can also try iExplore. They have a few tours that might be perfect. They can also arrange private tours. affordable tours and vacationstogo are great resources for group tours. The Tauck tour might be good, too.
