Alaska itinerary - can we do this in 10 days?
 

Here's our proposed itinerary - is this a decent schedule? I want to see all these things, but don't want to be rushing.
day 1 - arrive Anchorage
2 - drive to Seward, spend 3 nights (want to do Kenai Fjords all-day cruise, see sled dogs, hike Exit Glacier)
day 5- drive to Homer - spend 2 nights
day 7- fly to Silver Salmon Creek for bear viewing; spend night
day 8 - fly back to Homer, drive to Denail
day 9- bus into Denali
day 10-- drive back to Anchorage
day 11- depart

doable....suggest chopping off one night stay in seward and adding it to Denali :)

Agreed. One less day in Homer or Seward.

Flying back to Homer followed by driving to Denali? That's one long, long day. Could you move the bear viewing up one day (Day 6) then drive up to Anchorage on Day 7?

Why are you going back to Anchorage on Day 10? I would say skip Anchorage--maybe spend the night there on your way to Denali. Homer to Denali is too far a drive.

I am assuming you have a late flight on Day 11. Denali to Anchorage is about 5 hours. You have time to do a little sightseeing in Anchorage then.

Have you made reservations at Silver Salmon Creek? That will be wonderful.
